AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE Miss Lubbock Show, Will Rejoin MUDVAYNE Tour Tonight
April 30, 2005AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE were forced to miss last night's (April 29) scheduled performance with MUDVAYNE in Lubbock, Texas and will instead be rejoining the tour on Saturday in Albuquerque, New Mexico. According to one person that attended last night's performance, "Fans were waiting as the gates opened at 6:00 pm and BLOODSIMPLE took the stage around 7:40. A bartender commented that the tour manager didn't even know that they [AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE] were not there until around 5:30. No explanation was given as to why they did not show, but MUDVAYNE did speak of [AHC guitarist] Bryan's [Ottoson] passing and asked for Texas-sized chaos which the crowd willfully delivered."
As previously reported, Benji Hellberg of BLACK FLOOD DIESEL will be taking over the guitar duties in AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE for the remaining dates on the MUDVAYNE tour after the tragic loss of Bryan Ottoson. Benji is no stranger to the AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE camp, having previously played in the AHC side-project F.O.R. in addition to having been a friend of the band for many years. Incidentally, Ottoson was also a member of BLACK FLOOD DIESEL prior to joining AHC.
